This is mainly thought because there are so many more useful and rock solid Elite choices in the Tyranid 5th edition codex. I mean when you look at choices like Zoanthropes, or The Doom of Malan’tai, and of course the Hive Guard who go without saying, it really sucks by comparison.

It only has 2 wounds though, and toughness 4 so it can be instant deathed. The BS and WS are suck but those are unimportant due to how this thing works. Nice part is it has acid blood so if it gets hurt in close combat, they take a initiative test or take a wound, which is just hilarious. Also it has a heavy flamer so S5 AP4 ignores cover, and an acid maw that makes it so it ignores armour saves in close combat.
